Encrypted mails not supported in Xiant Filer

It sounds that when a mail body is ebcrypted, Xiant Filer doesn't provide any suggestion on potential target folders. Neither the sender name nor the subject filed content are used by the recommendation engine.

Toolbar flashing

OK, this is not technically a bug, but it is REALLY annoying: every time the message selection changes, the Xiant toolbar flashes and resizes as it is repainted. You need to figure out a way to change the labels without so much flashing. Again, I point you to Claritude's Speedfiler.

Outlook Loading...

I've discovered a problem although I'm not sure it's a Xiant problem. Using Oulook 2010 and Xiant I have run across a problem that presents itself by Oulook saying Loading... when you click on different folders. It basically never comes back and just says Loading... forever. So you have to kill Outlook. If I start Outlook with the -safe parameter the problem goes away. The strange thing is that I had this problem with Xiant and 2010 from the beginning and I eventually decided to delete all my .pst files. Once I did that things were working well. Now today a month with new .pst files the problem is back. It basically makes Outlook useless unless you're running in safe mode.

Failed to Save

XP Pro - Outlook 2007 - Exchange 2007 - Setting up Automatic filing and on some senders I get the message "Failed to save" after selecting the delay, folder to move to and clicking OK. Other users have worked OK

Is there a maximum number of entries for one rule?

I am using Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2007.

I have one folder where I wish to file all incoming email from a large list of senders (marketing, newsletters, etc.) I have been adding to the list, but the list itself, as displayed in Outlook Rules, seems to have maxed out at 3410 characters. What does this mean?

No licensing option avaialable on xiant filer menu

[p]I have bought your product but there is no licensing option on the xiant filer menu in outlook…..e.g it is mostly greyed out along with the toolbar….
I am running windows 7 64 bit with outlook 2007….
I had previoulsy installed the product......
Could someone respond to me ASAP ???

Outlook AddIn doesn't load

Installation on a german vista outlook 2007 succeeds but after starting outlook the AddIn wasn't loaded. Investigating the outlook addins shows that there's a checkmark in front of the addin.

We are aware of some issues with Filer running on a VMWare virtual machine running Windows XP on Mac. The issue seems to point to WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). For the time being, please do not run our installer if you have a similar configuration.

International Version of Outlook

Installation Issue - Required Interaction Component not available (Primary Interop Assemblies)

Good morning,

while I am not sure if this a bug of Xiant or just incompatibility of my system, the issue is as follows:
When installing the application I receive the following error message:
"A required component for interacting with Outlook 2007 is not available. Please run setup.exe that came with this MSI file to properly install the necessary component (Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies)."
If I run setup.exe (which is located in the destination folder I specified before), I receive the same message again.
Please note that I run Windows XP SP3, Office 2007 and do not have admin rights.

Any help will be appreciated.

The word "Inbox" is hard coded (international versions)

The Xiant Filer is currently hard-coded to look for a folder called "Inbox", which may not be there on international versions of Outlook. At this time, this configuration is unsupported.

A workaround is to create a folder in the root of your mailbox called "inbox".

Issues with the toolbar not showing up

Problem creating New Topic

We had an issue with Topics not getting created when the New Topic button was pressed.

Installer Error 2755

We have gotten several reports about this error, we are actively researching it, and will post an updated installer as soon as we have a fix for it.
