Certain Filer tasks trigger search for related e-mail message in your mailbox. These tasks include: - Filing a batch of messages (either by thread or by sender)
- Creating a new Topic
- Adding message threads to a Topic
While Filer searches your mailbox, Outlook may appear to be unresponsive. Search times will vary depending upon a number of factors, including the size or your mailbox.
You can improve the performance of Xiant Filer by optionally enabling Windows Search (formerly known as Windows Desktop Search) to index your mailbox. After your mailbox has been indexed, Filer searches the index rather than the mailbox, speeding up search times.
